Hi Everyone!
We have a theme this week of Volcanoes. We are going to have a Geography focus this week with a science experiment and mini art project for Friday! I will also throw in a history lesson around the theme later in the week. We are going to be looking at a new writing genre starting tomorrow which is exposition or explanation.
The biggest news of this week is that it is 'Active Home Week'! We are going to be doing a challenge of trying to do one hour of physical activity daily and record what you do. Link is on the Active School Blog Page here!
Keep up the amazing work. Looking forward to seeing and hearing from you all!

Science and Art Mini Project
Make your own volcano!!
I am sharing this with you early in the week so you have time to be working on it but it isn't due until Friday!
You can post it whenever you do it or you can keep it for Friday.
Instead of the cup I find a 2L drinks bottle works well either but really any empty container will work once its a cylindrical shape.
The salt dough is going to form part of your art project. If you have paint you can really make it fancy but more about that on Wednesday. I just wanted to give you enough time to get all of your equipment together! You should have most of it in your cupboard at home. The bicarbonate of soda part is important and it is sometimes called baking soda or bread soda. It is not the same as baking powder!!!! If you use baking powder the experiment won't work. ve
