On Friday January 31st, the sixth class pupils visited the Donaghmore Famine museum and workhouse. We learned so much about what life was like for people who lived in the workhouse. Families were seperated and the rules of the workhouse were extremely strict and grueling. It was great to experience all we had learned about life in the workhouses and see it in reality. A huge thanks to Trevor Stanley for such an informative tour!
