Diary/ Science 4th and Fifth
With the fine weather and being outside all the time, I don't think I have ever seen as many birds!! Out on a walk today I met a neighbour down the road and he said the same! In our yard there are loads of Robins, and I have two little birds that perch all day on the wing mirror of my car, looking at themselves in the wing mirror , vain little birds!! They are really loud too, flapping and chirping away to themselves. It's as if they are on stage performing, have to say they are quite entertaining, but that side of my car is white... (yuke!) Today there were loads of birds I wasn't sure what type they were , so I though for your diary today do it outside. I have attached a bird recognition card/ record what birds are in your garden, draw a picture in your diary. What could you do to attract more? I will post a photo of the birds on my car tomorrow it's too dark now, and tomorrow I will know what type of bird they are too. I am going to spend an hour outside, record what and how many of each bird are in my garden. Give it a go!

Today's maths is revision of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division within in Kilogrammes and grammes. It also calls on your decimal knowledge, changing grammes to decimal fraction of a kg.
Look at the first one done for you on each row, after you get your answer in grammes, you change to decimal fraction of Kg as in row 1 and 4
i.e 357g
+670g
1027g = 1.027kg
Complete questions 1 -6 only pg 157
When completing will you show your workings- full question in your copy. If you are particularly stuck on a section , leave it move on to what you can do, do let me know the area you were stuck on.
