Maths: The Circle
We are starting on a new area of geometry this week which is the circle. Before we start off into our books today I want you to do two tasks for me.
Task 1: Watch the video showing all of the names of the different parts of the circle. In your maths copy draw a large circle (using your compass) and label all of the different parts of the circle you learned about in the video.
Task 2: Make sure you watch the other video on how to use your compass correctly. In your copy, draw circles with a RADIUS of: a) 3cm b) 4.5cm c) 2.5 cm. Work out the diameter and tell me the relationship between the radius and the diameter.
