In preparation for the centenary celebrations in memory of the 1916 rising every school is Ireland is being presented with a flag. Each school has been given the task of writing a new proclamation to represent modern day Ireland. Sergeant Eddie and Corporal Denise visited our school last week. They presented us with our national flag as well as a copy of the proclamation. The Proclamation was read out. Sergeant Eddie and Corporal Denise told us all about life as soldiers in the Irish Army and their trips abroad. We really enjoyed the ceremony and thank them for coming to our school.
