Children enjoyed an hour reading their books on ‘Flashlight Friday’. This is. a lovely way of promoting positive well-being while at the same time raising some much needed funds for Pieta House by donating a coin. Well done to all involved in organising the event. In November we remember our loved ones who are no longer with us. We ask God to bless those who are missing them at this time. We were very busy during November. Ms Phelan was working with us and we learned lots while having great fun! We learned about animal habitats in SESE, 2D and 3D shape in maths and Bia in Irish. We were busy baking in Science, doing gymnastics and outdoor activities in PE and we learned all about the Irish artist Eoin O’Connor in Art. We learned about the importance of personal well-being and made beautiful Worry Dolls to share our thoughts and feelings with. Overall it was a busy month and we had a ball! Thanks Ms. Phelan. We will miss you! 😉 Great experimenting during 'Science Week' ! The children enjoyed doing some fun experiments. Ms Phelan took them on a science walk to collect materials for the bug hotel. We had great fun dressing up for Halloween. Well done to all the boys & girls who made a huge effort with their Halloween costumes....... We had a super day ! Charlotte's WebThe children have been listening to 'Charlotte's Web' since we returned to school in September and we have thoroughly enjoyed it!
Look at our beautiful webs that we made. We're all set for the build up to Halloween in First & Second Class! The children have worked really hard since September and we plan to have an enjoyable final week before the Halloween break! Maths Week was from Oct 10th-18th. First & Second class were very active doing an outdoor math trail and lots of other math activities also. Have a look at the pictures! Beautiful creations by First & Second class made using natural materials such as leaves, nuts, twigs etc. and decorated with non-natural materials. The children were very imaginative creating their crunchy creatures. Check out their amazing creations! |
