It's hard to believe we have hit the end of May already. That means it won't be long until the summer holidays. You've been putting in fantastic work so far. Here is some more to keep you going:

Reading - What is an Island?
Read through carefully twice and answer the questions.

Only one page of it today. Please take your time with this. It can get a little tricky. Look closely at the examples and follow the steps carefully.

Read the paragraph describing what the picture should look like. Write down the mistakes you can see (there are plenty). Draw a picture of what it should look like.

A couple of exercises involving a or an. Use a before words starting with a consonant e.g. a ball. Use an before words starting with a,e,i,o,u or a silent h e.g. an egg, an hour.

Science: Making Things Move
Try out the experiment and see what you find out. Read the information about rollers and wheels and complete the exercises. See if you can make something simple that can move.

Remember when you multiply by 0, you always get 0 (0 groups of something). When you multiply by 1, it doesn't change the number (1 group of something). When you multiply by 10, you add a 0 to the end of the number. Attached below and on Seesaw.

C - Read & find the words in the wordsearch.

Hope you had a great day yesterday. The weather has been fantastic. Here is the work for today:

Maths: Length
Busy at Maths pg 119 & 120. Use a ruler to measure the lines. Change metres to centimetres and centimetres to metres. Remember 1m = 100cm. You won't be able to complete Question 3 on pg 120 but you might find a few things at home you can measure. Attached below and on Seesaw.

English: Nouns
Nouns are naming words. Nouns are the names of a person, place or thing. Complete the activities identifying and choosing  the nouns. Attached below and on Seesaw.

SPHE: A Healthy Life
I think this is important considering we are spending more time at home and possibly not looking after what we eat. I know I'm finding it challenging. Read through and answer the questions. Attached below and on Seesaw.

Hello everybody!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. It's crazy to think we are already half way through the month of May. Still wish I was seeing you all in school everyday but unfortunately there is still nothing we can do about it.

Music/Art:
Your task is to make a musical instrument for things you can find at home. If you need some ideas, have a look at youtube/pinterest/google for some inspiration.
